The Naada Bowed String instruments are based on physical models. See the help for each instrument for more details.
Common Parameters for all Naada Bowed String Instruments
Bow Direction:
Momentary change in direction of bowing.
Range: Trigger on press and on release.
Bow Position:
Position of the bow along the string.
Range: 0.1 to 0.14 (default 0.12). Max 0.15 on Sarangi. Max 0.25 on Naada Cello.
Bow Position Pizz Offset:
Off set for Pizzicato string behavior
Range: -0.5 to 0.5 (default 0).
Bow Pressure Enable:
Enable the use of Bow Pressure.
Range: Off/On (default On).
Coarse Tuning:
Coarse tuning in semitones.
Range: -12 to 12 (default 0).
Decay After Note Off:
Let the note decay naturally after Note Off (instead of damping).
Range: 0 to 1 (default 1).
Enable:
Turn on/off processing for the instrument.
Range: Off/On (default On).
Ensemb Bow Pos Var (not on Sarangi):
Variance in positon of the bow between voices in the ensemble.
Range: 0 to 1 (default 0.1).
Ensemb Tuning Variance (not on Sarangi):
Variance in tuning between voices in the ensemble.
Range: 0 to 1 (default 0.5).
Ensemble Size (not on Sarangi):
Number of voices in unison ensemble.
Range: 1 to 8 (default 1).
Expression:
Bow velocity. This is the primary continuous expressive control and is mapped to MPE Channel Pressure.
Range: 0 to 1 (default 0.5).
Expression Transition Time:
Amount of time to transition between sucessive notes.
Range: 0 to 1 (default 0).
Fine Tuning:
Fine tuning in cents (hundredths of a semitone).
Range: -100 to 100 (default 0).
Lock String:
Play future notes on the same string.
Range: Off/On (default Off).
Pan:
Left/Right Pan
Range: 0 to 1 (default 0.5).
Pizz Legato:
Enable Legato for pizzicato notes.
Range: Off/On (default Off).
Pizzicato Enable:
Enable pizzicato (plucking) articulation.
Range: Off/On (default Off).
Polyphonic:
Allow polyphony. Only relevant in string mode and mono mode.
Range: Off/On (default Off).
Portamento Enable:
Enable portamento (pitch-glide) transitions between notes.
Range: Off/On (default Off).
Portamento Threshold:
Amount of portamento based on note velocity. Velocity below this level will be legato.
Range: 0 to 1 (default 0.5).
Portamento Time:
Duration of portamento.
Range: 0 to 1 (default 0.125).
Pressure:
Starting bow pressure.
Range: 0 to 1 (default 0).
Resonator Level (Sarangi only):
Volume level of the resonator
Range: 0 to 1 (default 0).
Staccato Enable:
Enable staccato articulation.
Range: Off/On (default Off).
Tremolo Enable:
Enable tremolo.
Range: Off/On (default Off).
Tremolo Level:
Amount of flutter.
Range: 0 to 1 (default 0).
Vibrato:
Vibrato, as a combination of depth and rate.
Range: 0 to 1 (default 0).
Volume:
Volume of the instrument. Linear (not dB).
Range: 0 to 1 (default 1).

Common Parameters for all Naada Plucked Instruments
Coarse Tuning:
Coarse tuning in semitones.
Range: -12 to 12 (default 0).
Decay After Note Off:
Let the note decay naturally after Note Off (instead of damping).
Range: 0 to 1 (default 1).
Enable:
Turn on/off processing for the instrument.
Range: Off/On (default On).
Enable Arpeggiator:
Turn on/off Arpeggiation of the strum
Range: Off/On (default Off).
Enable Curved Bridge (Pipa, Rudra Veena, Saraswati Veena, Sarod, Sitar only):
Turn on/off the use of a curve bridge that interacts with the strings.
Range: Off/On (default On).
Ensemb Tuning Variance:
Variance in tuning between voices in the ensemble.
Range: 0 to 1 (default 0.5).
Ensemble Size:
Number of voices in unison ensemble.
Range: 1 to 8 (default 1).
Expression:
Note brightness. This is the primary continuous expressive control and is mapped to MPE Channel Pressure.
Range: 0 to 1 (default 0.5).
Expression Transition Time:
Amount of time to transition between sucessive notes.
Range: 0 to 1 (default 0).
Fine Tuning:
Fine tuning in cents.
Range: -100 to 100 (default 0).
Legato:
Enable Legato for Hammer On/Pull Off.
Range: Off/On (default Off).
Lock String (Pipa, Rudra Veena, Saraswati Veena, Sarod, Sitar only):
Play the next sequence of notes on the same string.
Range: Off/On (default Off).
Lower String Factor (not on Acoustic Bass, Oud):
Lower the amount of high harmonics in the string
Range: 0 to 1 (default 1).
Pan:
Left/Right Pan
Range: 0 to 1 (default 0.5).
Plectrum Enable:
Enable interactions between the plectrum and the string
Range: Off/On (default Off).
Pluck Position:
Location of the pluck along the lenght of the string.
Range: 0.1 to 0.2 (default 0.17). Max 1 on Pipa, Rudra Veena, Saraswati Veena, Sarod, Sitar.
Pluck Smoothness:
How smooth the plucking is.
Range: 0 to 1 (default 0.2).
Pluck String:
Pluck the string again on the current note. This could be momentary allowing for continuous plucking.
Range: Trigger on press and on release.
Pluck String Single:
Pluck the string once on the current note.
Range: Momentary trigger.
Portamento Enable:
Enable portamento transitions between notes.
Range: Off/On (default Off).
Portamento Threshold:
Amount of portamento based on note velocity. Velocity below this level will be legato.
Range: 0 to 1 (default 0.5).
Portamento Time:
Duration of portamento.
Range: 0 to 1 (default 0.125).
Strum (Pipa, Rudra Veena, Saraswati Veena, Sarod, Sitar only):
Strum the Veena/Sitar Resonator Strings (Not available on Oud, Acoustic Guitar or Acoustic Bass).
Range: Velocity-sensitive trigger.
Strum Double (Pipa, Rudra Veena, Saraswati Veena, Sarod, Sitar only):
A Second strum occurs with the up position of the button (Not available on Oud, Acoustic Guitar or Acoustic Bass).
Range: Trigger on press and on release.
Strum Pattern (Pipa, Rudra Veena, Saraswati Veena, Sarod, Sitar only):
Strum Pattern for the Veena/Sitar Resonator Strings (Not available on Oud, Acoustic Guitar or Acoustic Bass).
Range: 0 to 3 (default 0).
Strum Single (Pipa, Rudra Veena, Saraswati Veena, Sarod, Sitar only):
A single strum of the resonator strings.
Range: Momentary trigger.
Strum Tuning (Pipa, Rudra Veena, Saraswati Veena, Sarod, Sitar only):
Tuning for the Strum.
Range: -1200 to 1200 (default 0).
Tremolo Enable:
Enable tremolo.
Range: Off/On (default Off).
Tremolo Level:
Amount of flutter.
Range: 0 to 1 (default 0).
Vibrato:
Vibrato, as a combination of depth and rate.

Common Parameters for all Naada Wind Instruments
Auto Portamento (Bansuri, Ney only):
Automatic Portamento mechanism
Range: Off/On (default Off).
Breath Noise (not on Harmonica):
Amount of Breath Noise
Range: 0 to 1 (default 0.5).
Coarse Tuning (not on Harmonica):
Coarse tuning in semitones.
Range: -12 to 12 (default 0).

Delay in expression between notes.
Range: 0 to 1 (default 0).
Fall Long (not on Bansuri, Dizi, Harmonica, Ney, Pan Flute):
The current playing note drops an octave over a long period of time
Range: Momentary trigger.
Fall Short (not on Bansuri, Dizi, Harmonica, Ney, Pan Flute):
The current playing note drops an octave over a short period of time
Range: Momentary trigger.
Fine Tuning:
Fine tuning in cents.
Range: -100 to 100 (default 0). Max 32 on Harmonica.
Flatten Reed Pitch (not on Harmonica):
Flatten the pitch of the reed at Note On.
Range: Off/On (default Off).
Flutter Enable:
Enable flutter.
Range: Off/On (default Off).
Growl Enable (not on Harmonica):
Enable Growl.
Range: Off/On (default Off).
Growl Level (not on Harmonica):
Amount of Growl.
Range: 0 to 1 (default 0).
Hard Reed (Duduk only):
Hard or soft reed.
Range: Off/On (default Off).
Membrane Thickness (Dizi only):
Hard or soft reed.
Range: 0 to 1 (default 0.5).
Pan:
Left/Right Pan
Range: 0 to 1 (default 0.5).
Polyphonic:
Allow polyphony. Only relevant in string mode and mono. On the Shehnai, one note can be used for the drone.
Range: Off/On (default Off).

Tremolo Level:
Amount of flutter.

Volume of the instrument. Linear (not dB).

Wah (French Horn, Harmonica, Trumpet only):
If Wah Attack is not used, then this is a continuous value of Wah to be used as a mute.
Range: 0 to 1 (default 0).
Wah Attack (French Horn, Harmonica, Trumpet only):
Wah on attack
Range: Off/On (default Off).
Wind Tongue Enable (not on Harmonica):
Enable wind tonguing
Range: Trigger on press and on release.
Harmonica Exceptions: The Harmonica is a free standing reed model without a bore. The Harmonica can only bend 2 semitones and does not support many woodwind parameters including growl, and the fall parameters.
