Ensemble Size (Sarangi does not support Ensemble):  Number of voices in unison ensemble.

Ensemb Bow Pos Var (Sarangi does not support Ensemble):  Variance in positon of the bow between voices in the ensemble.

Ensemble Tuning Variance: (Sarangi does not support Ensemble)  Variance in tuning between voices in the ensemble.

Expression:  Bow velocity. This is the primary continuous expressive control and is mapped to MPE Channel Pressure.

Expression Transition Time:  Amount of time to transition between sucessive notes.

Fine Tuning:  Fine tuning in cents (hundredths of a semitone).

Lock String:  Play future notes on the same string.

Pizzicato Enable:  Enable pizzicato (plucking) articulation.

Pizz Legato:  Enable Legato for pizzicato notes.

Polyphony:  Allow polyphony. Only relevant in string mode and mono mode.

Portamento Enable:  Enable portamento (pitch-glide) transitions between notes.

Portamento Level:  Amount of portamento based on note velocity. Velocity below this level will be legato.

Portamento Time:  Duration of portamento.

Resonator Level (Sarangi Only):  Volume level of the resonator

Staccato Enable:  Enable staccato articulation.

Tremolo Enable:  Enable tremolo.

Tremolo Level:  Amount of tremolo.

Vibrato:  Vibrato, as a combination of depth and rate.

Volume:  Volume of the instrument. Linear (not dB).

Naada Plucked Instruments

Common Parameters for all Naada Plucked Instruments

Coarse Tuning:  Coarse tuning in semitones.

Enable:  Turn on/off processing for the instrument.

Enable Arpeggiator:  Turn on/off Arpeggiation of the strum

Enable Curved Bridge:  Turn on/off the use of a curve bridge that interacts with the strings.

Ensemble Size:  Number of voices in unison ensemble.

Ensemble Tuning Variance:  Variance in tuning between voices in the ensemble.

Expression:  Note brightness. This is the primary continuous expressive control and is mapped to MPE Channel Pressure.

Fine Tuning:  Fine tuning in cents.

Legato:  Enable Legato for Hammer On/Pull Off.

Lock String:  Play the next sequence of notes on the same string.

Lower String Factor:  Lower the amount of high harmonics in the string

Plectrum Enable:  Enable interactions between the plectrum and the string

Pluck String:  Pluck the string again on the current note. This could be momentary allowing for continuous plucking.

Pluck Position:  Location of the pluck along the lenght of the string.

Pluck Smoothness:  How smooth the plucking is.

Portamento Enable:  Enable portamento transitions between notes.

Portamento Level:  Amount of portamento based on note velocity. Velocity below this level will be legato.

Portamento Time:  Duration of portamento.

Strum (Not available on Oud, Acoustic Guitar or Acoustic Bass):  Strum the Veena/Sitar Resonator Strings (Not available on Oud, Acoustic Guitar or Acoustic Bass).

Strum Pattern (Not available on Oud, Acoustic Guitar or Acoustic Bass):  Strum Pattern for the Veena/Sitar Resonator Strings (Not available on Oud, Acoustic Guitar or Acoustic Bass).

  • 0: Chikari triggers PA in addition to SA
  • 1: Chikari triggers MA in addition to SA
  • 2: Chikari triggers Prathi MA in addition to SA
  • 3: Chikari triggers an extra SA
  • Strum Double (Not available on Oud, Acoustic Guitar or Acoustic Bass):  A Second strum occurs with the up position of the button (Not available on Oud, Acoustic Guitar or Acoustic Bass).

Strum Tuning (Not available on Oud, Acoustic Guitar or Acoustic Bass):  Tuning for the Strum.

    Tremolo Enable:  Enable tremolo.
